Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Williams was added to the injury report as questionable due to a right ankle sprain, and the medical staff has ultimately determined that he can't go Thursday. Deni Avdija should be in line for an uptick in opportunities as a result.

Latest Trail Blazers News
Robert Williams : Won’t go Thursday
Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Williams was added to the injury report as questionable due to a right ankle sprain, and the medical staff has ultimately determined that he can't go Thursday. Deni Avdija should be in line for an uptick in opportunities as a result.
Dalano Banton : Won’t play Thursday
Banton (hip) is out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports. Banton has been dealing with hip problems of late, and he'll miss a game for the third time across Portland's last four contests due to a nagging contusion. His next chance to play will come against the Mavericks on Saturday.
Robert Williams : Iffy for Thursday
Williams (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Jazz. Contrary to the Trail Blazers' injury report before their previous game at Dallas, they have listed Williams with a sprain to his right ankle instead of his left. Either way, he is questionable for a second straight game, the first resulting in his absence against Dallas.
Dalano Banton : Added to injury report
Banton is questionable for Thursday's game against the Jazz with a left hip contusion. Banton is back on the Trail Blazers' injury report with a hip contusion, which had already kept him out for two games. It is worth noting that same hip contusion did not stop him from playing in the Blazers' previous game at Dallas, where he logged three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 FT, 0-2 3Pt), three assists and one rebound on Monday.
Dalano Banton : Three points, three assists in return
Banton (hip) finished with three points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three assists and one rebound across 13 minutes Monday in the Trail Blazers' 132-108 loss to the Mavericks. Banton had missed the Trail Blazers' previous two games with a left hip contusion. He took back a spot in head coach Chauncey Billups' rotation in his return, but Banton's playing time will likely be limited while all of Anfernee Simons, Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot Henderson are available out of the backcourt.
Scoot Henderson : Posts solid numbers in backcourt
Henderson chipped in 14 points (4-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 132-108 loss to the Mavericks. Henderson was a valuable reservist amid mediocre results from Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe. Although Simons and Sharpe are locked into first-unit roles, the former first-round pick is proving his worth as a backup. The youngster skipped college and went pro right out of high school, and his coronation as Damian Lillard's heir apparent was a bit premature. He's a key piece of Portland's future plans, but he's only on the cusp of fantasy consideration as he develops with the second unit.
Deandre Ayton : Flirts with double-double in loss
Ayton racked up 16 points (8-11 FG), nine rebounds and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 132-108 loss to Dallas. Although Ayton failed to exceed the double-double threshold, he's averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds since returning from a two-game absence. Ayton has missed nine games due to a finger injury and an illness, but the Trail Blazers managed a 4-5 record without his contribution. The team will need consistent nights from Ayton as they struggle to stay relevant in the Western Conference.
Deni Avdija : Leads with 19 points from bench
Avdija recorded 19 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block over 23 minutes during Monday's 132-108 loss to Dallas. Mediocre evenings from Shaedon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant forced Avdija to carry a heavier load, and the team rode the hot hand as they tried to keep pace with the Mavericks. Aside from a six-point hiccup against the Jazz, Avdija has enjoyed a productive December, averaging 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists over nine games.
