Kaden Elliss Latest News
Paces Atlanta in tackles

Elliss recorded seven total tackles (two solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 34-7 win over the Giants. Elliss was one of three Falcons to get after Drew Lock in Sunday's blowout win, bringing his season total to 5.0. The 29-year-old linebacker from Idaho has appeared in all 15 of the Falcons' games this season, recording a team-leading 131 total tackles, two passes defended and one forced fumble. Expect Elliss to remain a significant portion of the Falcons' defense as the season progresses.
Leads Atlanta in tackling again

Elliss finished Monday's 15-9 win over the Raiders with 11 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks. Elliss has registered at least 10 tackles in seven of the Falcons' last eight games and is on a three-game sack streak. His effort over that span has Elliss at 124 combined tackles through 14 regular-season games, surpassing his career-best output from the 2023 campaign (122 combined tackles over 17 regular-season games). The 2019 seventh-round pick will look to add to that total Sunday against the struggling Giants.
Leading tackler in loss

Elliss logged 10 tackles (seven total), with 1.0 sacks, during Atlanta's 42-21 loss versus the Vikings on Sunday. Elliss had another productive outing despite the loss as he racked up double-digit tackles for the seventh time this season in addition to recording his third sack. The 29-year-old is now just nine tackles shy of his career high 122 set back during last season.
Secures sack in loss

Elliss recorded five total tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also adding a pass defensed in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Chargers. Elliss was able to get to quarterback Justin Herbert for his first sack since Week 9 in the loss. The linebacker did see his streak of five straight games with double-digit tackles come to an end though. Elliss has now produced 103 total tackles (60 solo), including 2.0 sacks, while registering two passes defensed and a fumble recovery over 12 games in 2024.
Records 10 stops against Denver

Elliss finished with 10 tackles (eight solo), including a tackle for a loss, in Sunday's 38-6 loss to the Broncos. The inside linebacker also played on all 60 defensive snaps. Elliss has played on every defensive snap in nine of 11 games this season. The sixth-year pro has 98 tackles (57 solo), including 1.0 sacks, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery in 2024.
Double-digit tackles vs. NOLA

Elliss logged 10 tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Saints. Elliss extended his 10-tackle streak to four games Sunday as he once again led the Falcons in that category. He played every single defensive snap for the eighth time this year and he's up to 88 tackles (49 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass defense and one fumble recovery through 10 regular-season games.
Logs first sack of season

Elliss finished Sunday's 27-21 win over the Cowboys with 13 tackles (eight solo), including 1.0 sacks. Elliss was credit for a minimal sack on Dak Prescott late in the third quarter, which led to a 57-yard field goal by Brandon Aubery three plays later. Elliss has logged at least 10 combined tackles over his last three outings, and his 78 tackles through the first nine games of the regular season leads the Falcons and is 12th-most in the NFL.
Past knee injury

Elliss (knee) was a full practice participant Thursday, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports. A knee injury limited Elliss's practice participation Wednesday, but the 2019 seventh-round pick was able to practice without restrictions Thursday. Barring any setbacks, Elliss should be able to suit up against the Cowboys on Sunday. Elliss has logged 65 combined tackles through the first eight games of the regular season, which is most on the Falcons and ranks No. 14 in the NFL.
Dealing with knee issue

Elliss (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports. Elliss had a monster performance in the Falcons' Week 8 win over the Buccaneers, tallying 11 total tackles across 68 defensive snaps. However, it now appears the Idaho product picked up a knee injury in the process. If Elliss is unable to suit up for the Falcons' Week 9 matchup against the Cowboys, expect JD Bertrand (concussion) or Nate Landman to see increased work with Atlanta's first-team defense.
